Ended up renting the ebikes which were great. Bike rental staff very helpful. Gave us instructions about how to order cab to get back to Olvera. Stopped for lunch in Coripe; had beer, salad and sandwiches; very large portions so packed some of it to go. Beautiful ride through Spanish countryside. Some mud clogging up a couple of the tunnels but they were working to clear it.

It was big fun., will do it again. The bikes are excellent. You have to make reservations in advance, and to get most out of it, you should start as early as possible. We didn’t set an exact starting time, and had to wait quite a while before we could go. The bikes have to be back before 3.00 pm. They keep your passport, which is understandable but feels a bit awkward. We went back at Coripe, which was good fun as it was a bit more challenging then just going downhill. One more thing: we were here in September and we could’t get any food on our way. There is a water point. So bring a backpack with food and water. Vía verde, Olvera.

We arrived late but the man waited for us for 30 minutes before loading bikes and us in his people mover to take us by road to a point 3 kms along the Via Verde as the path is impassable in that part. It was all good, the bikes were excellent, the scenery was great and the Via Verde is mostly downhill from Olvera to Puerto Serrano. We don't ride bikes very often but this was fairly easy and we had a very enjoyable day. The man at the bar at Puerto Serrano train station rang a taxi for us to return to Olvera

Perfect set-up with bikes ready and waiting for our cycle ride along the Via Verde. SESCA organised our return taxi and bike pick-up with perfect efficiency. Bikes were all in good condition and we all had a great day. It's a great way to see the Spanish countryside away from the normal tourist tracks.

Good bikes, good price and an amazing cycle route. Lovely cafes with good food and drinks at either end. Highly recommended

Great ride along the Via Verde de la Sierra. Easy bike hire at Olvera station (beginning of Via Verde) through Sesca. Visited:Via Verde de la Sierra, a very enjoyable 36km ride. Spectacular scenery and soaring vultures (information centre very interesting). Fairly flat well maintained track with many tunnels to ride through. Small cafe at Coripe, can be closed so best to take water and snacks. Possible to return to Olvera by taxi with bike from station at Puerto Serrano.
